Beauty Maven – Camille Rose Naturals Product Review

Beauty Maven – Camille Rose Naturals Product Review

Hey guys! I had the pleasure of being selected as Camille Rose Naturals’ Beauty Maven for the month of February.

I was super stoked because I already purchased and fell in love with their “Curl Maker” Gelee , “Fresh Curl” Revitalizing Hair Smoother, “Algae Renew” Deep Conditioner and their Coconut Water line. I would now have the opportunity to try all of their other products and provide honest reviews for you all!

I had also been using the line on my 19 month old son Luc and his curls. I’ve been loving his results! However, with both of us using the same products we end up running out of everything pretty quickly…lol.

About Camille Rose Naturals

Camille Rose Naturals is an organic and vegan line. They only use certified organic and natural ingredients. You’ll never catch any sulfates, parabens or anything chemically altered or modified in their products. This line carries a bunch of ultra moisturizing products that combat frizz and add to the enhancement and definition of your natural curls, kinks and coils.

Coconut Water Line

As I said before, I had already previously purchased the Coconut Water Penetrating Treatment and the Leave-in Treatment and fell in love! The treatment mask provided supreme hydration to my dry and frizzy hair. When paired with the leave-in it was literally heaven in my hair. This line has to be my favorite line of product from Camille Rose.

So the newbie out of this line was a leave-in defining cream called “Style Setter”. I used it under “Curl Maker” for even more definition. I styled my hair in the shower regularly because I get way better results that way. Now, I made the mistake of using “Style Setter” along with the Coconut Water Leave-In treatment under “Curl Maker“. BIG MISTAKE. I didn’t read the directions carefully and failed to realize that  “Style Setter” is also a leave-in. Be sure to use one or the other ladies and NOT both leave-ins together with Curl Maker. If you use both your hair will weighed down from all the moisture.

Ingredients include: coconut water, aloe vera juice, tropical butters and oils. These ingredients are made to deeply penetrate your hair while providing maximum shine, definition and moisture retention.

My results!

Hair was 20% dry in this pic.

Hair was 80% dry in this pic.

Almond Jai Twisting Butter

I used this twisting butter on my 1st two-strand twistout. This was my very first twistout ever ladies! I have to perfect my method but I don’t feel I did too bad for my 1st try. I feel like my results are similar to my wash and go results but with more elongation. If you’ve been following me for a while you know I’m a wash and go kind of gal. It felt great to step outside of my comfort zone a bit and experiment with a new style. I look forward to trying some more styles in the near future.

Here are my results with Almond Jai Twisting Butter:

Next, I used Almond Jai Twisting Butter for a wash and go style. I first cleansed with Caramel Cowash. This cowash gave me super slip while cleansing which I loved! I definitely prefer it over Creme Restoring Conditioning Cleanser which wasn’t as moisturizing for me. I then deep conditioned with Coconut Water Penetrating Hair Treatment. Afterwards, I used Coconut Water Leave-In Treatment before applying Almond Jai. Last, I applied Curl Maker for a bit of additional hold and sealed with Jamaican Black Castor Oil. I was floored by my results!

My hair was super elongated! Again, my curls/coils/kinks were super hydrated and defined. No crunch and very soft to the touch. I was so pleased with my results that I decided to try Almond Jai on my son Luc! Here are his results!

Tip: I used Curl Love to refresh my wash and go on the 3rd day.

Curl Love Moisture Milk

This moisturizing styling cream is formulated with Rice Milk, Macadamia Nut, Avocado & Castor oils to penetrate your hair and provide lasting moisture and definition. More importantly, Curl Love helps to prevent breakage and styling damage. I paired it with Curl Maker for some additional hold and sealed with Jamaican Black Castor Oil.

Here are my results!

My hair was extremely fluffy and soft! I usually don’t get fluffy, soft defined ringlets together but this combo definitely did the trick! My hair wasn’t as elongated as it was with Almond Jai but I can’t complain with these results. I know shrinkage gets a bad reputation in the natural hair community. Ladies, embrace it! Shrinkage just means your hair is healthy, it’s not a bad thing at all.

Final Thoughts

Again, the great thing about this line is the fact that it’s 100% natural and vegan. This means the ingredients used are of high quality and the cream of the crop. The only con I have about this line is the price. It is pretty expensive but as you can see it worked for my hair so I am extremely pleased with the line. I would highly recommend Camille Rose Naturals line of products to my followers. Just be prepared to shell out some bucks when purchasing. It’ll be worth every penny!

Hi. I love the results you received from the Camille Rose Naturals line for you and your son. AMAZING RESULTS!!!! I was wondering where you can get similar samples like the ones you received. I’ve been looking all over for sample sizes in order to try before I buy the full size. Any suggestions for where I might some?

Hi Chloe! I would suggest going to any of the events they hold or are sponsoring. You can follow them in Instagram @camillerosenaturals to keep in the loop. Other than that you can purchase a single item in which they always send samples as well. Next step could be to reach out to them on their website and inquire directly. They may be able to give you more insight as to where they will be next with a pop up shop. They’ve been holding them all summer. I hope this helps! Thanks for reading! ❤️

What is the order of products you use when combining the curl maker, curl love and jamacan castor oil? When do you add the castor oil?

Hey there! I use Curl Maker in soaking wet hair to style my wash and go. I then use Curl Love as a daily moisturizer to keep my hair soft and manageable. I hope this helps!

what happens when your hair gets wet? Does your hair remain in the curly style or do the curls fall out?

Hi! If you mean wet as in by the rain then I usually have to redo it. My hair won’t exactly stay in place so when it dries it won’t have the same texture. Usually because the products has been rinsed out by the rain.
