There is no question that the decision to go back to natural hair and maintain healthy hair can get pretty expensive. Let’s face it ladies, the best products on the market are usually the most expensive. LottaBody is an inexpensive option for my naturals on a budget.
I started using their “Wrap Me Foaming Mousse” about 1 year ago when I received it in one of my CurlBox kits and fell in love. This foaming mousse is formulated with Coconut, Shea and Macadamia Seed oils which all contribute to combatting frizz, defining curls/coils for wash and go styles. These ingredients are also key for creating soft wraps if straightening.
Here are my results from when I first used Lottabody’s “Wrap Me Foaming Mousse” last summer:
The first and most important thing I liked about the line is the fact that’s it’s super affordable. Seriously guys, if you feel like you have to spend loads of money trying products during your natural hair/healthy hair journey think again! The products in Lottabody’s new styling line are all under $10.00. Yes, you read that right! Their “Moisturize Me Curl and Style Milk” was $3.99 at my local beauty supply store. The “Wrap Me Foaming Mousse” retails for about $4.99 in most stores and online. The “Control Me Edge Gel” retails for $3.99 in most stores as well. So you really have nothing to lose! How often can you say that with most hair products, let alone natural hair products?
Second, it works well with other lines. This is a huge plus for me! If there is one thing I hate is having a hair product that I can’t “cocktail” with other products from other lines. I used Tresseme’s “Perfectly Undone” conditioner which also retails for $4.99 at most stores. I used this conditioner as my leave-in on my 1st try. I used Shea Moisture’s “Jamaican Black Castor Oil” leave-in treatment on my second use and loved my results as well! I purchased this leave-in treatment for $10.99 at Target.
Third, the entire line is non-flaking. I have no tolerance for flurries in my edges or curls!
The “Moisturize Me Curl and Style Milk” along with the “Wrap Me Foaming Mousse” left my hair shiny, defined, soft to the touch and full of movement without the crunch.
Here are my most recent results:
I love how versatile this line is as well. The “Wrap Me Foaming Mousse” can be used on both straight and curly hair. I’ve used it before on a roller set and flexi rod set. It left my hair smooth, voluminous and frizz-free. I’ve used it on my wash and go’s with “Moisturize Me Curl and Style Milk” and with just a leave-in and have had amazing results!
This line can be used on both natural and relaxed hair. I’m not sure how exactly Lottabody did it but this is nothing short of amazing! All ingredients used are safe for both hair types.
The line has also cut my drying time down by 75%! Usually when I do my wash and go’s it’ll take me the whole day to dry my hair. I stay away from heat as much as possible. My hair dries in about 3-4 hours when using this line vs. 8-10 hours. My hair also stayed in tact for about 5 days without refreshing.
Lottabody’s “Control Me Edge Gel” did the job with holding down my edges but I would not use throughout my whole hair like I do other control pastes. I tried doing so and my hair did not respond that well to it. I still highly recommend it for laying down those edges for those sleek and chic styles such as up-dos, ponytails and sculpted looks.
So there you have it! The fact this line is super affordable and works is a win-win for me! So if you’re looking for a product to try without breaking the bank you should definitely consider Lottabody’s new styling line for both natural and relaxed hair. You can find the line in most beauty supply stores, Walgreens and Walmart stores.
