Product Review – Camille Rose Naturals Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse

Untitled design

Happy Thanksgiving guys!

When it comes to wash day I tend to use more gentle formulas for cleansing. I came across Camille Rose Natural’s Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse this past summer.

I’ve used their Caramel Cowash & Creme Restore Conditioning Cleanser in the past but I was curious to try a formula that had more cleansing & clarifying capabilities.

Product Backstory:

This cleanser is a blend of Asian ginger, essential oils & castor seeds. How exactly does that help our hair?

1st: Ginger root contains magnesium, phosphorous, potassium and vitamins which helps to promote stronger, healthier and shinier hair.

2nd: One of the nourishing essential oils included in this cleansing rinse is aniseed oil. This essential oil has both antiseptic and antimicrobial properties which promotes a healthy clean scalp. A healthy clean scalp is necessary for hair growth and retention.

3rd: Another essential oil this cleanser uses as an ingredient is castor oil. Castor oil is liquid gold for our hair. Whether you have natural hair or relaxed hair, castor oil should be part of your healthy hair care regimen. Castor oil has natural anti microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. It has the ability to soothe the scalp & penetrate deeply into the hair due to its small molecular size. This promotes hair growth with a healthy scalp as its thriving foundation.

Pros:

  • I loved how clean yet soft my hair felt after cleansing. My hair wasn’t stripped of moisture one bit.
  • This cleanser smells amazing and had an uplifting effect on me (that was probably the ginger..lol).
  • I love the fact that all natural , healthy and organic ingredients are used for the entire line of Camille Rose Naturals products.
  • CRN’s Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse is sulfate & parabeen free.

Cons:

  • My $11.00 8oz cleanser ran out within 1 month of use. I’ve since purchased the 12oz formula. It costs a bit more at $14.99 but I know I’ll have it for longer than  a month.

Tips for use:

I would recommend using a small amount when cleansing because a little does truly go a long way. Just make sure your hair is soaking wet before applying. I’ve cocktailed this cleanser with other organic & natural brands and it’s worked wonders on my hair. I’ve also followed up by deep conditioning and styling with the Coconut Water line from Camille Rose Naturals and I’ve had amazing results.

Overall, I would recommend this cleanser for my fellow naturals. I’d even recommend those with relaxed hair to use on their hair as well. The benefits of the ingredients far outweigh the cost. 1. Hey! I really enjoyed your review on the CRN Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse and the video. I’ve been looking for reviews on this particular product because I wanted to purchase it, and after reading your review, that’s exactly what I did. Lol. I’ve been using the CRN Caramel Co-Wash with excellent results, but just like you I was looking for something to use once a week for deep cleaning purposes and you answered ALL my questions. I’ve been using COCO CURLS shampoo, but everytime I use it my scalp itches and I shed a lot, like more than when I use the caramel co-wash. Actually my hair only sheds when I use that particular shampoo. So again thanks for the review and by the way I just started using CRN back in August and my hair is loving them all and thrieving since I started using her products.
