Hey guys! I hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving holiday! How did you guys ring in turkey day? Are your bellies still as full as mine?..lol. We celebrated with lots of family and friends locally. It was also my youngest son’s 1st Thanksgiving which was loads of fun in itself. These last few weeks have been pretty hectic trying to balance both kids, blogging, meetings but more importantly self-care. I was recently gifted an all natural & organic body scrub from Naked Sugars. I’ve been incorporating this scrub into my self-care & beauty regimen. Here are my 1st impressions.
About the Brand
Naked Sugars is an all natural and organic skin care line that uses and combines holistic herbs, essential oils, sugar and salts to curate handmade bath soaks & body scrubs. The company was founded by beauty & fashion blogger Nakia Chiron. Nakia suffered from eczema and created these scrubs in an effort to find relief from this painful skin condition.
Morning Riser Body Scrub
Morning Riser scrub is the brand’s best seller and I see why! The lemon and sweet orange scent is extremely energizing & invigorating! It’s just what I need for my mornings since I’m usually in desperate need for a pick me up. I’m often up at least twice overnight to feed my 8 week old and I try to workout before the kids wake up. Morning Riser has become just as much a staple in my morning routine as brushing my teeth! I love that I don’t have to question what’s in Naked Sugars products, especially since I’m exclusively nursing my son. This scrub is formulated with the following pregnancy and breastfeeding safe ingredients:
- Magnesium Sulfate| Cell Rejuvenation & Alkalizes the body to promote better sleep.
- Organic Coconut Oil| Hydrating & natural antibacterial.
- Organic Sugar Cane|Exfoliates & hydrates.
- Organic Sweet Almond Oil|Relieves dry itchy skin, moisturizes , natural remedy for Psoriasis & Eczema.
- Sweet Orange Essential Oil|Increases mental alertness, improves memory & reduces stress.
- Lemon|Brightens and balances the skin & stimulate positive energy.
All Naked Sugars scrubs are blended with organic coconut, sweet almond and vitamin E oils to give you the perfect balance of healing and moisturizing properties. I’ve been suffering from extremely dry skin & hair postpartum. I’m very pleased & highly recommend Morning Riser scrub for anyone dealing with dry skin or inflammatory skin conditions. It left my skin so hydrated and supple that I didn’t even need to apply moisturizer after showering! How’s that for time management?..lol. One tip I would say is to maybe store your scrub in a mason jar after opening for easier access while showering.
One of the best things about Naked Sugars is that if you’re not ready to commit to an 8oz scrub you can purchase their sampler scrub pack for just $5!! These sample sized pouches are perfect if you’re going on vacation and want your favorite scent with you to get through TSA.
You don’t want to know how many times I’ve lost beauty products to TSA (insert ultimate side eye emoji here). The sampler scrub pack also makes for a great and affordable stocking stuffer for loved ones this holiday season. The packaging is extremely convenient as well. It’s compact so it doesn’t take up too much space at all. All Naked Sugars scrubs have a shelf life of 6 months unopened and 4 opened. They are also safe enough for daily use.
